Closing a Chapter

I’ve always believed that books capture moments, not just for the reader, but for the writer as well. Fragmented Echoes isn’t just a collection of poetry; it’s a reflection of specific times in my life. It’s a map of thoughts and emotions that have shaped me. Of moments in time, now preserved in ink.

The process of bringing this book to life was… a mix of things. Some days, the words felt effortless, pouring onto the page as if they had always been waiting to be written. Other days, they were distant, stubborn, refusing to be shaped into something tangible. There were moments of certainty and quite some  moments of doubt. Of questioning whether I was saying enough or too much. But through all of it, one thing remained: the need to create something real, something honest. Something that, once it was out in the world, would feel like a true reflection of what I meant to say.

And now, it is out in the world. Which is its own strange feeling. This mix of quiet pride, relief, and a  kind of restlessness. There’s a sense of closure, but also a pull toward the next thing. The next words. The next story waiting to be told. (More on that soon.)

But before I step forward, I want to take a moment to stand still. To acknowledge what this book means to me. To let it settle, to let myself feel the weight of it before I move on. Because this isn’t just another book, it’s a piece of me, and now it belongs to more than just me.

And if you’re reading this, you’re part of that journey. You’re part of the reason Fragmented Echoes exists beyond my own thoughts and now lives on the pages of a book. That means more than I can put into words.

So, thank you. For reading, for being here, for walking through these echoes with me.

Much love, Sofia
